will assist in updating computerized scheduling of on-air programming,

Review pre and post tracking of programming with commercials. Input,

applications with time critical program information. 1-2 years
experience preferred (but not required) in Television Distribution or
related business. Strong desire to learn post-production,
satellite transmission, and new technology associated with delivery of

| DESCRIPTION: | This position assists FTS personnel with
technical support of desktop computers, applications, and related
technology. Support includes specification, installation, and repair of
computer systems and peripherals within established FTS standards and
guidelines. Activities require interaction with other members of the
FTS IT team to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems. The
position utilizes one-on-one consultancy to end users. This position
also assists in the maintenance and testing of network, servers and
associated equipment. The position’s responsibilities require
independent analyses, communication and problem solving. Work is
performed with little supervision and requires initiative and judgment.
Duties of the position include, but are not limited to: Assisting
personnel with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability
of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software within
established standards and guidelines. Working with vendor support
contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment
and software and with IT Engineer as appropriate to determine and
resolve problems received from clients. Interacting with numerous
HW and SW products in a multi-layered distributed computing
environment. Ensuring desktop computers interconnect seamlessly
with diverse systems including associated file servers, email servers,
Internet, and business systems and orienting staff on use of hardware
and software as needed. Recommending and/or performing upgrades
on systems to ensure reliability, performance and longevity.
Assisting with the procurement of hardware and software and in the
ordering and configuration of wireless devices within defined
standards. Maintaining LAN infrastructure with guidance from
Network Engineering. Maintaining records, audits trails, and
documentation to support policy and procedure and contribute to the
general operating efficiency of the job. Developing procedures
and/or processes to manage workload.
